I had a great run this morning...indoors on my treadmill/hampster wheel. Okay, treadmill runs are not all that but I got to watch Sportscenter while I ran so that's the trade-off. 4 miles, sweat like a large porcine animal but felt good. I bypassed morning coffee and traded it for Earl Grey tea with a splash of half and half...no sugar. (maybe almond milk next time if I can get some)
After my run I ate a cup of oatmeal with dried apples and cinnamon with dried cranberries and almond slivers. Very tasty. 2 hours later followed that with a romaine salad with small chunks of chicken (I can here you now Coach...."you don't need chicken!!!!") and some shreded parm. cheese with fetta greek vinegarette. I think salmon and yams for dinner. Gotta find some fresh fruit to have for in between...That and a lot of water. I've already gone thru a liter and a half and it's only noon-30.
Work - then some note taking after I get off tonight then I'm taking a well deserved powder. I'm freaking bushed! ----but happy and feel great!
Ahhhh your progress is astounding! Way to go on the coffee elimination! And swapping out the half and half for almond milk is such a good idea.
ReplyDeleteWow you really seem ready to work on some new stuff in virtually no time at all, and I'm glad you can hear me speaking to you even when I'm not exactly present.
For now, don't worry so much about the chicken but instead lets find some alternatives for the cheese. Ask yourself what does the cheese add to the salad? What could you swap it with? Is it even necessary? What if you added additional vegetables, fresh herbs such as basil, rosemary, oregano or even lemon balm or mint. Maybe include some spicy greens such as arugula or watercress. I love that you're using a vinaigrette, they're my favorite.
Good work Mark! I'm thrilled that you're feeling great!
